Head Coach · Elevate Performance Academy

Meet Jodie Morgan.

Head Coach of the Eumundi District Swim Club squads, and founder of Elevate Performance Academy. Over 30 years of coaching experience.

Who is Jodie?

Jodie Morgan was announced as the new Head Coach of the Eumundi District Swim Club on 20 January 2026.

“Jodie Morgan from Elevate Performance Academy is the new head coach of Eumundi. On behalf of the Eumundi District Swim Club, the Eumundi community, and families, we couldn't be more excited to welcome Jodie and embark on this incredible journey together.”
— Eumundi District Swim Club, 20 Jan 2026

Jodie founded Elevate Performance Academy and Elevate Performance Coaching. She runs the club's three squad programs (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and one-on-one coaching from Eumundi Aquatic Centre. Jodie is not employed by BlueFit — she operates as an independent coaching business and parents pay her coaching fee and the pool entry fee separately. This is the "two cost streams" the site surfaces.

The Henzells Profile, a Sunshine Coast real-estate publication, described Jodie as “an inspirational figure in Sunshine Coast sport, selflessly offering her time and expertise to motivate, educate and train young swimmers.”

Coaching philosophy

For every swimmer, a pathway

Jodie's Elevate Performance Academy runs three squad tiers — Bronze (entry, technique), Silver (intermediate, AM dryland + PM pool), and Gold (performance, AM GYM + 4:30–6:30pm pool). The pathway is a single one-directional flow — swimmers progress on a personal-best basis, not on a fixed timetable. Promotion between squads is on coach + swimmer agreement, not a calendar.

Technique first, then load

Jodie's own articulation: “Find the feel in the technique, hang on to that, then add intensity.” Saturday mornings are the weekly group session; weeknight sessions are split by squad. AM GYM blocks for Silver and Gold are dryland — strength, mobility, race-pace exposure — not a workout in the traditional sense.
